What we know
- BBSA is a 501(c)(3) registered in Illinois since 1972 — 100% volunteer board, partnered with the Bloomingdale Park District for fields (not park-district funded).
- Programs cover boys baseball and girls softball (tee ball through older age brackets), plus travel brands such as Bulldogs (baseball) and Blast Fastpitch.
- Neighboring corridor play (RMSBO, Carol Stream, CSYBA towns) commonly allows USA Baseball and/or USSSA BPF 1.15 depending on division and season — treat that as a pattern, not BBSA’s locked bylaw.
- We have not found a permanent public bat-stamp PDF on thebbsa.org to freeze here. Always use the current season packet or email your division director.

Parent checklist
- Ask your coach which stamp is legal for your BBSA division this season (in-house vs travel differ).
- Check barrel diameter and drop limits in the division packet.
- Travel / tournament weekends follow the event rules (often USSSA or PG), not house rules.
- Softball bats are a different standard — do not assume baseball USA/USSSA stamps apply.
Confirm with BBSA: We do not invent local bylaws. Rules change by season. Contact info@thebbsa.org or your division director, and check the current packet on thebbsa.org before buying.
