WSBL — West Suburban Baseball League

WSBL official rules packets (e.g. 2024) state bats must be BBCOR, wood, or stamped BPF 1.15 (USSSA) or USA Baseball. BESR bats are illegal. Age drop caps have included −8 at 13U and −5 at 14U.
Older FAQ language emphasized USSSA fingerprint / BBCOR for some ages — always use the current season PDF from the league.
Parent checklist
- Buy a bat that matches your age’s drop cap and an allowed stamp.
- Weekend USSSA / JP Sports events can still require a permanent USSSA mark even if WSBL league play is more flexible.
- Metal spikes typically only at older (13U/14U) divisions — equipment packet rules.
Confirm with WSBL: Entry is by invitation; bat wording is updated in the annual rules PDF. Ask your age director before purchasing a bat for league play or playoffs.
