Privacy policy

Overview

CheckMyBat.com (“we,” “us”) is a free informational site for youth baseball and softball parents — bat legality, gear guides, tournament bat rules, and free outdoor batting cages. We keep data collection minimal.

Information we collect

• Contact & tip forms. If you submit the contact form or a free-cage tip, we receive the fields you enter (name, email, message, location details). Optional contact details on cage tips are used only for clarifications and are not published.
• Hosting logs. Our host (Netlify) may collect standard server logs (IP address, user agent, request path, timestamps) for security and reliability.
• Analytics. If we enable privacy-friendly or third-party analytics in the future, this policy will be updated before they go live. As of the effective date, we do not run a third-party analytics pixel beyond what our host provides.
• Affiliate cookies. When you click an affiliate link (for example Amazon Associates or a CJ Affiliate / DICK’S Sporting Goods link), the retailer or network may set cookies or similar technology to attribute a purchase. Those parties have their own privacy policies.

How we use information

• Respond to questions and publish reviewed cage listings
• Improve the site and fix errors
• Comply with law and protect the site against abuse

We do not sell personal information. We do not use contact-form emails for marketing lists.

Sharing

We may share information with service providers who process it for us (for example Netlify hosting and form delivery), when required by law, or to protect rights and safety. Affiliate networks and retailers receive click/attribution data when you choose to follow an affiliate link — not your contact-form contents.

Children

CheckMyBat is written for parents and coaches. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Gear and cage content may discuss youth ages, but submissions should come from adults.

Your choices

To update or delete information you sent via a form, email us through the contact page. You can also clear cookies in your browser to remove affiliate or host cookies.
