USSSA tournament bat rules

USSSA tournaments inherit the USSSA Baseball national bylaws bat standard. State directors and event sheets can tighten further (especially Select Super NITs / Elite World Series).

National bylaws pattern (confirm state / event)

14U and younger: permanent USSSA 1.15 BPF mark, or BBCOR.50, or wood from a licensed USSSA manufacturer.
USABat: legal in USSSA events except where BBCOR is required — still subject to the same drop caps.
13U: maximum drop −8 nationally. Elite World Series 13 Majors often −5 / BBCOR / wood only.
14U: historically max drop −5; starting 1/1/2026 national standard moves toward −3 BBCOR unless a state opts into a −5 exception. Select Super NIT / Elite World Series 14 Majors often BBCOR or wood only.
Scholastic / high school events: NFHS BBCOR −3.
