Published bat pattern (recent MBL rules / FAQ)
For 9–14U, bats must meet the barrel and drop table below and carry one of: USA Baseball, USSSA, or BBCOR. Wood is allowed. Bats later declared illegal by USSSA or the manufacturer are illegal in MBL.
- 9U–11U: barrel 2¾″ or less · drop unlimited
- 12U & 13U: 2¼″ barrel with unlimited drop or up to 2¾″ with drop −10 or less
- 14U & 15A (league): barrel 2¾″ or less · drop −5 or less (BBCOR recommended for 15A league games; MBT 15A tournaments often follow 15AA BBCOR rules — read that event sheet)
- 15AA / 15AAA: −3 BBCOR stamp or single-piece wood (wood/composite hybrids need BBCOR)

Parent checklist
- Match both the stamp and your age’s barrel + drop — stamp alone is not enough at 12U+.
- MBT qualifying tournaments and state events can tighten 15A toward BBCOR; check that weekend’s rules.
- Fall League and August Classic sit under the same MBL/MBT umbrella — confirm age/level tab.
- Metal spikes: typically not at 9–12U; allowed 13U+ (field rules can override).
Confirm with MBL: Community associations set rosters and fees; MBL publishes league equipment rules. Rules change by season — ask your travel director before buying.
